Introduction

How to train with Englishletics! How to train with Englishletics!

Before you begin your journey of mastering the basics of English—learning many new words along the way—allow us to introduce the tools you'll use moving forward from lesson to lesson.

Each lesson contains 5 main units. Ideally, you would study one unit per day. But, if you feel you can study some more in one sitting, feel free to take on more! Here's a preview of every type of unit for the average beginner's lesson!

Units 1 and 2: Vocabulary Units 1 and 2: Vocabulary

You are my friend. You are my friend.

As you can see (and hear), each new word you'll learn comes with its translation, the correct audio pronunciation, and a simple example of its use.

These examples help you grasp the context these words are used. The audio ensures you pronounce them correctly.

Each lesson begins with two separate vocabulary units which contain around 10 words each. At the end of each vocabulary set is a quiz! More on quizzes later. Ideally, if you are a beginner, you should spend one day studying each of these vocabulary units.

Unit 3: Dialogue Unit 3: Dialogue

Unit 4: Grammar Unit 4: Grammar

Learn the foundations of the English language! Learn the foundations of the English language!

The fourth unit of each lesson contains at least one grammar element. Along with how to express what you did yesterday, what you're doing today, or what you plan to do tomorrow, Grammar units are full with elements used in everyday English.

Depending on the lesson, this unit my teach you how to tell time and numbers, to name a few. Most importantly, this unit will show you those parts of English which make no logical sense, but simply need to be remembered as they are!

This is an example of the grammar we'll teach you in lesson 20:

Present

Simple PastParticiple
ReadReadRead

Same spelling, different pronunciation. But don't worry, you'll understand the differences between these three in no time! It's quite easy actually!

The best part about the grammar unit is that it uses words from the vocabulary and dissects the dialogue to teach you. For variety, the grammar finishes with several stand-alone examples–with audio, of course.

Unit 5: Test lesson (35+ quiz questions) Unit 5: Test lesson (35+ quiz questions)

Of course, no lesson is complete without a quick test to make sure you understood it properly!

The fifth unit uses all the knowledge you gained in the lesson and test you about it. There are three main trainers which perform this task, and each of them has different demands!

Vocabulary trainer (20+ quiz words) Vocabulary trainer (20+ quiz words)

Statistics! Statistics!
